On the Shelf

Here’s what I can’t stop reading:

A Spicy Perspective – Sommer’s recipes are so eclectic and full of such incredible flavors!  Spicy you might even say…

Blogging with Amy – if you’re interested in blogging, or taking your blog to the next level, check out Blogging with Amy.  She breaks down the process into simple steps, with directions and even how to videos.  She covers everything from branding, to hosting, to how to grow and engage your following.  She is a valuable resource for all bloggers.

Confessions of a Cookbook Queen – I love reading her for the same reason I love watching House – she says everything I wish I could hear coming out of my mouth.  She is HILARIOUS!  I laugh out loud each and every single time I read one of her posts.  And it’s worth following her on Facebook just to get a few laughs in every day.  Crazy funny.

Cookin’ Canuck – Dara’s creative and healthy recipes always help me think outside of the box and inspire me to reach for ingredients I don’t always gravitate towards.  I’m always inspired by her posts.

Dine and Dish – Kristen has such a fresh approach not only to food blogging but about really focusing on the moments in life that inspire her and bring her joy.  She is a constant reminder to me to slow down and refocus on what’s really most important in my life!

Good Life Eats – Katie shares not only innovative recipes and stunning photography, but book, dining and travel recommendations that are perfect for families with children.

Family Fresh Cooking – Marla’s love and devotion to her family is always evident in her writing, as is her passion for feeding them delicious whole foods.

How Sweet it Is – Jessica is sweet and endearing while at the same time so real and down to earth!  She will not only woo you with her latest culinary creation, but also with her favorite lip gloss!

My Baking Addiction – I’ve been having a love affair with Jamie’s site ever since I discovered it.  She creates and photographs the most delectable desserts known to man.  She’s VERY good at what she does.

Perry’s Plate – Natalie creates incredibly creative and healthy meals, and is a huge proponent of Community Supported Agriculture.  She’s also super duper sweet, which makes it a pleasure to read her blog!

The Novice Chef Blog – I seriously fell in love with Jessica’s blog when I read one of her a**-friendly recipes.  Who doesn’t need a few of those in their life?!

Will Write for Food – a blog by Dianne Jacob who authored a book by the same name which is the Bible for all aspiring food writers.  Her writing engages readers and writers to hone their skills and her blog addresses issues of ethics in food writing, how to write a proposal, and even things like giveaways on blogs.  Great advice even for non-food writers…
