Summer Survival Calendar and Action Guide Giveaway *Closed*

My children have been out of school for a whole week and a half and I’m already sick of hearing, “I’m bored.”

Every summer my job description changes slightly as I become the chauffer, social coordinator, and grand poobah of entertainment.

Between the kids, going back to work, a move, and a little bit of skin cancer my life has closely resembled a circus this year. Some days it was enough just to make it through the day, let alone think ahead.

Let’s just say I’m totally unprepared for summer! I needed a little help. Okay, I needed a lot of help…

Cue Susan Heid at The Confident Mom, a certified family management planner and parent coach. Susan has just released the 2012 Confident Mom Summer Survival Calendar and Action Guide.

What a great idea! School just ended here on Friday, and we are at the Grandparents house this week – but after that I am not looking forward to I am Bored!!

Wow, what a lifesaver this would be. Not only will Dudette get out of school in 4 days, but with Hubby just getting a job after a 4 1/2 year search, we’re a 1-car family and he has it. I’ll be stuck at home all day with ‘I’m bored’ ringing in my ears. And the DS or computer games are not an option!

On the “I’m bored” issue. I told my son that I read a study that said kids who complained of boredom had too many toys and lacked imagination. In order to “help him out” I said I would take a toy away so he wouldn’t be bored. It slipped out once since, a toy went away and I have never heard it again. :)

Wow, you guys got out even earlier than we did. Today was the last day of school. I am not looking forward to the bored kids, but we have a few things planned that might make for some excitement here and there. Hope you have a great summer

It’s been getting earlier and earlier thanks to the budget crisis the last couple of years. It’ll be a wonder if they got to school at all in a decade!

I don’t have children but I have rambunctious nieces which I know doesn’t really count. Anyway…I’m thinking about that poster of a cat hanging onto a branch and midmew that was everywhere in the eighties and read, “Hang in there, Baby!” Also I love hearing Grand Poobah again which is what I used to call my dad. Hang in there!

  26. 32

This is such a great idea! I love it to pieces!!

  27. 33

What a great giveaway! My mom friends would love this. Thanks for sharing!

If it wasn’t for my calendar(s), I’d be the grand poobah of ‘get zero done.’

Jen – the link above to The Confident Mom site is not working (or not for me). I googled it & bookmarked it!
