Have you ever wanted to know how to make your cupcakes look just like the ones from your favorite bakery?
It’s as easy as 1-2-3!
Pop on over to Baker Street where I’ll show you how to turn your cupcakes into works of art for just about $7.00 in supplies and a little know-how. I’ll tell you what supplies you need, how to assemble your pastry bag and fill it with frosting, and even a tip to keep your frosting moist while you work.
So why are you still here?

Thank you for this excellent tutorial Jen! It was lovely having you over. xoxo
Thanks so much for having me!
I’m dashing over to Baker Street now… have a great weekend Jen!!!
I love frosting cupcakes. It was my job when I worked at a bakery years ago. I find it so therapeutic. Too bad nowadays I don’t think there are enough cupcakes to relieve all of my stress.
Yay for guest posting!!! Thanks for the piping advice
I bought the supplies a long time ago, but I’ve never taken the time to learn to use them. I’m heading on over to check it out. My son is getting married and we are all pitching in and making treats. I’d love to impress my new daughter-in-law.
I read this title wrong before I clicked over. For a second I thought it said “Pimping 101″!
Great how to, frosting cupcakes can be so easy when you have the right supplies and a little knowledge!
That’s awesome Erin! That would make a funny post…
You are funny Jen. Heading over now. Photos look delish.
Thanks Suzi!
I definitely need lessons in that. Heading over there now!
Going to take a look…
Great post!
Great post Jen! Your cupcakes do look like they’re straight out of the bakery!
Thanks Lacy! But I do photograph the nicest looking one!
I’ve always wanted to learn the proper way to pipe frosting, thanks for the link!
Fantastic tutorial on another fantastic blog. It’s great that you were able to guest post.
I don’t think my hands are nearly as steady enough as they probably need to be to make successfully decorated cakes, but I can certainly read and dream that I’m not a complete ham-fisted moron when it comes to delicate tasks like this
Heading on over now
That’s why you use a large piping tip! It’s much more forgiving than a small one!
Ohh, I need practice with my piping! Going to check out the post now!
THANK YOU, Jen!!! This is a tutorial I need badly!!! Off to see your guest post over at An’s blog~
I find that VERY hard to belive Liz! With all the beautiful pastries and cakes you make!?
Great lessons, Jen. (And I love how you yelled at us all for not traveling to Baker Street sooner!) I think I can handle this decorating business. Almost like having you at my elbow!
It would be great fun to get together with a room full of bloggers and cook and bake all day!
I like those stripey cupcake wrappers!
Gorgeous! Putting this one in my pocket for that day I finally make cupcakes
Popping over right now! I have the hardest time decorating cupcakes, can’t wait to check out your tutorial!
sorry I’m commenting again! I just checked out your post and you should totally do a video demo! That would be so fun to see!
Oh wow! I’m not so sure about that! I’m WAY too camera shy for that!
I got the whole kit but for some things you need to be talented, and you my friend you are talented! For me it never look like that! Beautiful post, i will just keep trying!
You’ll get there!!
YAY Jen!!!! I have been waiting for this post since we first met! So excited and heading over to Baker Street now!!! : )
So glad I could oblige then!
What a picture perfect, beautiful cupcake!! It makes me happy just looking at it. Heading over to Baker Street…
Have a lovely week!
Thanks Cristina!
I totally stink at decorating cakes. Will check out your guest post!
I am particularly ungifted when it comes to cake decorating
– I do admire the beauty and skill involved though – so pretty! Thanks Jen.
Nice post. I like Baker Street, too. Buzzed.
Wow what a fantastic job. Wonderful pictures too!
This is one of the reason why I’ve never made cupcake in my life. Yes, piping… hopping over to see how you do it!
With all the other stuff you make? You could easily do it!
I stink at piping. Like really bad.
I find that SO hard to believe Kim!
