I went AWOL!
My husband’s deployment seemed to be DRAGGING by at a snail’s pace, and I just couldn’t take it anymore. So the Three Little Piglets and I hopped in the car and headed to Pensacola Beach to ring in the New Year.
There were footprints to make…
Silly faces to make… you might be thinking that’s my son’s face doesn’t look all that silly, but that fact that he’s actually smiling in a photograph is pretty silly!
*Sigh.* We’re good now! The circus will resume it’s regular schedule tomorrow…
How did you celebrate New Year’s?

Happy New Year Jen! (I’m still holding email that I need to get back to you…sorry for delay in my response)
This place looks beautiful!
Happy to hear you had a fun New Year celebration with your family. Wahhh your children are so big! I always thought you have small children for some reason. You have beautiful kids and thank you for sharing the precious pictures of your family! I’m still slow coming back to blogging as my mom is here and watching how much I spend time in front of computer… (geez). I hope you had a nice break and enjoy the family time.
Sounds like you had a blast! We have been thinking about taking an adventure over to that side of the state. It looks like you had the whole beach to yourselves. I hope 2012 brings you happiness and great culinary adventures
Glad your getaway was the fix you (and the piglets) needed. The beach looks so tempting! (Last night we registered 0.1 degrees ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !) I’m headed to Tampa at the end of the month and I hope I can last till then. Happy New Year — you’re off to a great start.
Happy New Year to you, Jen! So glad you had such a lovely New Year’s on the beach – they sure are quite some faces! Your photos are so clear, I can just about smell the sea air from a windy, chilly Paris! We spent ours eating and playing silly games. Great idea of the beach for next year, though!
The best part of this post?!?!? Silly faces to make!
I spent NYE doing yoga and meditating and NYD blogging and catching up on my blog reading. BLISS!
It’s AMAZING what a few sill faces can do for your spirit!
I used to live in Fort Walton Beach, so I know just how fun the Florida beaches can be-and they are not just for the summer. Great way to start the New Year and I am sure you and your kids had a blast! Happy New year!
Yes, Happy New Year! What a wonderful way to spend the beginning of 2012. We went to a very low-key, wonderful party. Hubby watched a game on tv with the other guys, the ladies played Sequence and the kids ran rampant upstairs. It was perfect. Looking forward to all this year has to bring!
Looks like you had a lovely getaway.
Love all the silly faces
Happy New Year!
Jenn: I always thought of you having tiny ones running around :~))
Happy New Year! Looks like you had a great day! Hope the rest of your hubbys deployment goes quickly!
Oh Happy New Year! So glad you could take a mini trip to the beach. I must say that I am sitting in my living room freezing under 3 blankets and wishing I was at the beach too.
If it makes you feel any better Emily, that was like the only hour it was warm enough to actually go out on the beach! The rest of the time we were huddled up in the hotel room or checking out the indoor sights in Pensacola!
Happy, happy new year Jen! Those funny faces sure made me smile… so happy it was a great trip to what looks like a stunning beach. All the best to you and family in 2012!
Thanks Kelly! Sometimes there’s nothing you can do but laugh for awhile!
Happy New Year Jen! It looks like you had a great time. Have a wonderful 2012!
I felt relaxed just looking at these pictures! Welcome back
Thanks Valerie! We all really needed it!
Lovely photos! I love Pensacola Beach – so pretty and laid back. Happy new year, and I’m happy to have discovered your site!
Thanks Rachel! I’m glad you found it as well!
Jen, you know how to ring in the New Year! I’m glad you took the break…it’s always nice to re-charge the batteries!
