Blogging with Amy

My lack of computer skills if the stuff of legends!

I’m so awful that whenever anything electronic breaks in my house, all eyes immediately turn to me and ask, “What did you do to it?” It’s lovingly referred to (or maybe not so lovingly referred to) as The Jennifer Effect.

So when I decided I was ready to move from Blogger, get my own domain name and upgrade my blog, I hadn’t the faintest idea where to begin. Like at all…

A quick Google search led me to Blogging with Amy, written by Amy Lynn Andrews, and my prayers were answered.

Amy has this down to earth, straight forward way of teaching all the nitty gritty about blogging. She covers everything from finding your voice, to making your site more user-friendly, and even how to build and engage a following.

She demystifies all that complicated code speak, like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Search Engine Optimization (which I seriously had no idea even existed until I started reading her site).

If you find yourself struggling with your blog, are ready to improve it, want to move from Blogger to WordPress or maybe just want to learn more about how to monetize your blog head on over and subscribe to get Blogging with Amy updates today. You will be SO glad that you did!

Think you don’t have the time to do it? Amy even has an e-book to help you with that too! Called Tell Your Time: How to Manage Your Schedule So You Can Live Free, it’ll help you prioritize your goals and create strategies to help you achieve those goals, blogging or otherwise. It’s available for the Kindle and Nook too.

Be sure to like her Facebook page as well, where she shares extra tips and links to helpful articles on blogging there. I learn something new every single day!

And if that’s not enough, and you find you still need a little more help, Amy even offers blog consulting services.

So why are you still here? Just kidding…

Oh YES! I need MAJOR help! In fact, I often daydream about having a friendly, computer tech savvy neighbor to ply with baked goods in turn for computer advice. I have lost so many hours due to these struggles. It’s getting better, but this site could really turn me around! :)

She has been a HUGE help to me Valerie! Especially with all the technical stuff – the plug-ins and the social media. I’m honestly not sure how I ever blogged before I found her site!
