The greatest thing that I recall about my childhood is that we were so incredibly poor, but I never even knew it!
My memories of the Christmas holidays include so many happy moments with my family – ice skating, sledding, caroling, and of course baking.
Even now, I only recall a handful of the presents I received or maybe more important didn’t receive. But I remember the smell of gingerbread baking, the glittering table loaded with goodies, and oh, the sweet taste of my grandmother’s cookies. She made the best cookies.
Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas in our house without at least one batch of her Holly Wreaths!
Please join me with Erin over at Dinner, Dishes, and Desserts as I share my beloved grandmother Margaret’s recipe for Holly Wreaths (a classic cream cheese spritz cookie).
Before you go, don’t forget, there’s still time to enter my Michael’s Gift Card Giveaway.
Until next time, do you have a holiday favorite that reminds you of your childhood?
