You mean they taste good too?

As soon as I hear the words low fat I immediately want to stick my fingers in my ears and start screaming, “Blah, blah, blah. I can’t hear you.” You know… So I can’t hear you.

Seriously, what clown made a law that says that healthy packaged food, code for convenient, has to taste like cardboard crapola?

I’ve said before, I have a few issues with what goes in my mouth. Sometimes, I can eat less healthful, calorie-laden snacks, (like Doritos, sometimes, even Cool Ranch) and other times I just can’t do it. The guilt just isn’t worth it to me, which means that I’m always on the search for healthy snacks that actually taste good.

I made the mistake of wandering near the specialty cheese section of Publix the other day, which I usually avoid because I have a bit of a thing for cheese and always buy WAY too much of it, and then I eat WAY too much of it. I digress…

On the end cap, they had all the little snacks you’d put your cheese on, and since I’d just filled my basket with like 5 pounds of cheese, it seemed like a good idea to get, well, something to put it on. Duh…

I found these website.

They look yummy. I love the original sunchips but I can’t find them here any more.*sad face*

I’m with you on the “low fat” thing. I have always been of the opinion that if you are going to indulge, let it taste like an awesome version of whatever you’re wanting and not some half-arsed attempt at a tasteless version of it (which will probably leave you eating it AND the real thing) :-)

Geez, I just re-read my rant and it doesn’t make sense. Must be Friday brain :-)
What I meant was…I always think going for the real thing the first time round is best.

I agree Jenn, these are pretty tasty. I need to go get me a bag!

The “naked” version of these are one of my favorite chips!! They are dangerous to me with Costco’s spinach dip which I guess defeats the purpose of it being a healthy snack. :)

I haven’t found a Stacy’s chip that I didn’t like! Simply Naked are our favorite and last weekend I picked up the Italian Seasoning and they were quite different, but wonderful! Now I need to find the multigrain. That’s one I have tried.
