I am a magazine collector.
I’m convinced that somewhere there is a self-help group for this. I’ll save a magazine FOREVER if there’s a good recipe in it. I have all these good intentions of going back and making it, but I never flip through a magazine looking for recipes to make (unless it’s a food magazine). They just sit there taking up valuable property and creating an eye sore.
I finally decided enough was enough. I had to lay off the magazine addiction! I got myself a spiral notebook, and when I came across a recipe that looked good, I wrote it into the notebook or I tore it out and plopped it inside. Then the magazine got recycled (whoo hoo). The best part is that I used the notebooks and actually started trying some of these recipes out. Imagine that!
This was one of those recipes. I’m very sorry whoever you are for not giving you proper credit! It’s super easy, and really yummy. My kids thought they were getting great dessert, and I was getting them to eat lots of yummy fruit. Love that!
Fresh Fruit Dip
1/2 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
1 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. almond extract
In a bowl, at low speed beat the pudding, cream, milk and extract until blended. Increase to high, and beat until soft peaks form. Makes enough dip for 2 quarts of fresh fruit.
